Windy Weekend - Lot's of Paint
Well, teh weekend WAS windy but I did NOT sail. Why, well it seems we are allowing out OLD house to be a stop on the Rotary Christmas Tourof homes. Yes, that means it needs to be spotless and oh yea, decorated with christmas stuff by November 4th. So this weekend was highlighted by about 3 solid hours running hte sander to clean up the walls in teh old room off the hallway. Much spackle before left much sanding to do. I did get 1/2 the room primered with a sealer for drywall. I looked out side often and decided that I needed to get this done this weekend, so next weekend (Halloween) we can hand out candy (to 800 kids) and then rush to convert the house into a christmas spendor.

Good run tonight - Wednesday in St. Louis
Yes,
Tonite was one of those rare nights when you feel simply great on a short run. While I tooled aroound downtown St. louis for only an hour it was quite nice. I felt rested, and strong as a runner, and I enjoyed the run downtown, espcially on Washington street which is lined by upscale condo's and resturants. Just after the close of work for most folks, the street life was starting to come alive. Saw a nice Jazz club, might have to look there a little harder. Off to a reception at the base of the arch. Hope I get to the top, Many people I suspect have the same desire. If not, Nice brezze on the side of water with friends and music can't be all that bad
Cheers

Work Work Work - Wish I was sailing
Well, darn it. It is windy out and I am not sailing today as I must work. I am in St. Louis in a hotel waiting for a meeting to begin and the Missouri river looks perfect with side wind strong 15+ Knots just below the Arch. Warm and windy, but alas - no gear.
Looks like the river width would support about a 1 minute planning ride across before jibing, so it would be a lot of turns, but I suspect that would be great practice for me as I haven't been jibing much lately.
Work is actually interesting, which is a great thing because if it was boring AND the wind was blowing, I feel I would go crazy.
Hope your sailing today somewhere
